What Is SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Information Program)?

Our Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIP) is a free health benefits counseling service for Medicare beneficiaries of Weber and Morgan Counties and their families or caregivers. SHIP’s mission is to educate, advocate for, counsel and empower people to make informed healthcare benefit decisions. SHIP is an independent program funded by Federal agencies and is not affiliated with the insurance industry. Community presentations on aging services are available.

What Is SMP (Senior Medicare Patrol)?

Our Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) empowers and assists Medicare beneficiaries of Weber and Morgan Counties, their families and caregivers to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud, errors, and abuse through outreach, counseling, and education. SMP counselors and volunteers give presentations to groups, exhibit at events, and work one on one with Medicare beneficiaries.
